Meh, actually, I meant take a punt and work for yourself while you have the opportunity.
I'm looking into those options at the moment.

Jon Steele and Steve Ashworth. AFAIK haven't attended an event for ages, but are helping Spiers out with his 'film shoot'.
Seriously, why do we fucking bother?!

I noticed that too. I suppose they only want to take part in 101st circle jerks, rather than get out and play. Wankers.

They didn't come to Devil's Hill either though....

I'm not surprised. Further justification for us not doing any more U.S forces based games.

Mmm, should sell my kit really....

Heh, two of them DID come to Devils' Hill, pissed off at the end of day 1. Guy's mates, not sure if he spoke to them though!

They treated WW2 airsoft as a sisk and fucked around something chronic, in complete opposite to how they were at IED . Saddened me really . Rupe's lot weren't much better.
Have to laugh, the last post made in PBI's subforum appears to be November 2010 ....8 months ago , obviously they're all busy elsewhere
Mind you are card carrying bit isn't a lot better . Some pruning and fertilising needed I reckon .
obviously they're all busy elsewhere
Yeah, slagging us off on their own forum's private section!
(Or starting facebook hate campaigns agains you Guy!).

TBH their facebook campaign doesn't even come close to the 31 pages of diatribe we managed
Care to wield the pruning shears? .... the bit about fixing games should go , it's irrelevant .
I think a clear out is a good idea.

Why getting stressed about it now? No deleting of historical posts please. I agreed with PBI in March to close the groups section, it has been moved out of the way where it will stay.

Noone's getting stressed. I actually think it's a good idea to get rid of some of the older "what we are" and "what is WW2 airsoft" threads/posts, as there seems to be a fair few of them!

Personally I'd say it would be better to concentrate time and energy on engaging with the punters. All very well guffawing at PBI - the CIA section hasn't had any activity this year to speak of!

It will have, soon. We'll be having a bit of a chat at Schaulen, to discuss future direction and event promotions. Once we reach an agreement, we will drive on, with renewed and directed focus
.

Not really that it's 'owt to do with you CW , but was talking to Pete about pruning and re vamping the CiA bit which is our shopfront on this forum , couldn't give a hoot about PBIs dead forum . As to what we should be engaging our activities on , again , it's not really your problem or worry anymore is it ? Please desist , if we need some advice we'll ask you for it . We got some good ideas on the boil , just coz you can't read them doesn't mean there not there
The telephone is mightier than the post count !
Cheers
Guy

Agreed , we have a newer definition of what it is we're trying to do posted up in the newbie forum already . I don't like the fact that people looking in there read a bunch of shit about fixing stuff that was in response to the nonsense all stirred up by Walter and is now out of date.
I'm happy to help him out, but Nigel's a bit of a cheeky bugger ain't he? "We use"??
Hi
I have been looking a few times now but can not find the set of CIA rules we use for the games, probably me just cack at searching![]()
Have you got a list?
Rule 1 don't be a cock etc, it would be nice to use and read them at Drakelow.
Any help would be appreciatedNigel.
Hi Nigel
They change for each event, so we've never formalised them.
I think you might be confusing the CiA forum for all organisers' of WW2 airsoft games here. CiA events are organised by Me, Old Un, Kermit and Heide...and up until recently CW. There isn't a centralised set of common rules that each organiser (be it Wladek, PBI, AGS, Gunman etc) use. Each organiser uses slightly differing rules from the others based on a basic set of ones CiA sort of devised years ago, so it's not really a "we use" collectively, rather than "CiA use" that you're looking for I guess. It's up to you how you run your game, and I would encourage you to try and include as much personalisation to your event as you can to put your own stamp on it, rather than using carbon copy rules from other events that might not fit your scenario and how you're planning to use the site.
For the record I feel that "Don't be a cock" is very specifically a CiA organisers thing - ie Me, Old Un, Kermit and Heide. You could say we have an unofficial trademark on that one!
Like I say, ammo limits, hit taking, and regen rules are changed for each event according to the scenario and site, so it's hard to give you anything hard and fast.
You might want to have a look at the guidelines we posted up for our Boryszyn event at Drakelow which might work best for your event: viewtopic.php?f=61&t=8949
Good luck with the event. I would come if it weren't my wife's birthday that day as Drakelow is very close to my home.
Stephen

lol
Too many people have had a free ride on the work we put in ....although to be honest a lot of it came from IEDs way of doing things, ammo limits, "wear your glasses at all time and don't be a twat", 20 minute rolling regen .
I thought he was coming to Schaulen with his jeep and AT gun anyway .....he could learn the rules at that event
